The Best New Retail in the US – May 2025

The expansiveness of the US allows for a greater variety in retail design and space, but Los Angeles continues to be a key location for many brands opening in the US.
There are a few firsts this month with respect to Ukrainian fashion and 3D printing, but celebrities seem to be a key consideration this month, perhaps explaining the appeal of Los Angeles, particularly to fashion brands.
We are also continuing to see brands make each retail space unique and reflect the local surroundings, through art pieces, design and furniture.
Here is the best retail you can find in the US this month.
Starbucks 3D printed store, Texas
Starbucks has partnered with a 3D brand to create a new 3D printed store in Brownsville.
A German construction company, Peri-3D, created the exterior with layered concrete from a 3D printer. The walls were created as panels, with spaces for windows and doors to be added separately. The final finishing touches were the Starbucks logo added to one wall, and a pergola for drive-thru customers.
While the store design has not yet proven cheaper than traditional building methods for a drive-thru store, those working in 3D construction expect the price to decrease when more stores are built using this method.

Tory Burch, LA
Designer Tory Burch has launched a new flagship on Rodeo Drive.
The store has been designed to take into account the light in LA as well as Tory Burch’s influences and home, blending American and European styles with touches of Asia. The exterior of the store includes a trellis that surrounds the entire building.
The interior has hand-finished plaster walls from Art Groove, a New York artist group, while the furniture has been curated by Tory Burch. These include rugs from Beauvais Carpets and pedestals from Studio Xavier Mañosa.
Customers visiting the store will find handbags on the ground floor, footwear and activewear on the first floor, and jewellery and a private room on the second floor. Additionally, shoppers can browse the brand’s current Spring collection.

Supreme, Miami
The Design District of Miami saw the arrival of streetwear brand Supreme.
The designers of the store were influenced by skating culture and wanted to create a skating area in the store. They removed the interior of the building to create a “floating skate bowl” that sits between concrete pillars.
The rest of the store also draws from skating influences, including a wall of video featuring historical skate footage and the launch of a new skate film called Headbanger. The store also includes art pieces from Rita Ackerman, Dave X and Mark Gonzales.

Revolve, LA
A former pop-up store from fashion brand Revolve will become a permanent location in Los Angeles.
The Revolve Holiday Shop in 2024 was exceptionally popular for the brand, which was visited by celebrities Nicole Richie, Cardi B and Megan Fox. The store also held a number of events from high fashion brands like Alexander Wang, and collaborative events with Paige Lorenze and Dairy Boy.
The new store will focus on popular Revolve brands, FWRD Renew vintage accessories and a capsule collection from FWRD. Customers will also be able to find beauty and home products at this location.

JINS, LA
Japanese eyewear brand JINS has launched its latest concept store in Abbot Kinney.
The design of the store takes inspiration from Japanese tea houses, with wood panelling to segment the room, chosen to match the brickwork found in the existing space. The brand juxtaposes these traditional design elements with digital functionality, including personalisation services.
When customers arrive in store, they can use QR codes near the products to find out more about them, and meet with staff for lenses, bespoke fitting, and adjustments. The finished glasses can be delivered to the customer or collected in-store in 30 minutes.
Shoppers can also take advantage of the new customisation service “Watashi no Ippitsu” for glasses that look retro but still contain JINS advanced technological designs on the inner rim. The brand has also had a collaboration with Killspencer, a luxury LA brand, on cases.
BUNDÏ, LA
A new store launching in Melrose Avenue, BUNDÏ, is a first for Ukrainian fashion.
The new boutique is designed to encapsulate the style of Kyiv, featuring a rich lush interior of deep red velvet shelves and dim lighting.
The store will feature collections from 19 Ukrainian design brands, including Cultnaked, Statnaia Corsets and FROLOV. Some designers have already been popular with celebrities Megan Fox, Charli XCX and Beyoncé.
The collections will be extremely limited in availability, with some pieces only being available in a single size. However, the store does allow customers to book private appointments, with some designers accepting commissions and custom design requests.
